PREVIEW: Medical service appeals to local councillors
Councillors were appealed to by EMS representatives, during an informative presentation to local council last week.
Councillors learned of challenges facing Emergency Medical Services (EMS) in the district.
They were informed during a presentation by EMS to council last week.
For one, there are too few ambulances to serve the needs of the district.
Hoax or abandoned calls are another waste of resources.
This often means patients in real need are not given attention quick enough.
There was also an appeal by EMS to members of local council.
“We wish to use councillors to inform the community on proper ambulance usage, and share information with residents on how to access these services.”
