Warning: Ladysmith could be hit by load-shedding if too much electricity is used

Eskom has requested that the municipality decrease the power usage or implement load-shedding in Ladysmith.

Please assist by switching off unnecessary electrical equipment as soon as possible.

If power usage is decreased, we may be able to avoid load-shedding.

Eskom Power System Emergency has been declared as of today (November 29). Load shedding stage 1 (12pm to 10pm) and load curtailment stage 1+2 (2pm to 10pm) will be implemented to stabilise the system if power usage is not brought down.
