Extreme enduro riders to invade
Spectators should bring GPS to load spectator points
Dundee has long billed itself as the capital of Northern KZN – purely on the grounds of its central location. Now the town is also upping its game to sell itself as the entertainment and sporting capital.
Following on from plans to open a Sharks Rugby Academy here, the Bell Powasol Impi Enduro is expected to attract over 200 top enduro riders to the area. The course is a torturous one, following a rugged route in the Elandskraal area, and taking place from October 17 to 19.
This is an extreme enduro GPS-guided riding event, with riders from Cape Town, Namibia and even New Zealand coming to participate.
Travis Teasdale, the number two rider in South Africa, has entered, as has fellow top competitor Darryl Rider. The ladies have also not been left out: SA top women’s Enduro rider, Kirsty Landman, will also be taking on the course.
Accommodation in the area is going to be at a premium, with Talana Live also filling up beds in Dundee and beyond.
