Ladysmith police are investigating a case of concealment of birth after a premature foetus was found in a municipal trash bin in a local shopping complex on Tuesday afternoon (May 22).
Police and emergency officials were on scene.

Community members looked on, aghast, while emergency personnel carried out their duties at the crime scene.
“I am heartbroken at seeing this. I was busy shopping when I heard people talking about a baby being found, so I went to see what was happening and saw the police. How can a mother be so heartless?” said a shocked resident.
