1 person killed and 5 injured in horror collision

A serious accident occurred this morning (July 29) at the corner of Stretch Crescent and South Street. A bakkie crashed into the side of a car and caused it to overturn and slam against a traffic light pole. Five people were injured, sustaining moderate to serious injuries, as some of them were flung from the car. One person unfortunately succumbed to their injuries. The scene is still active and motorists are warned to be vigilant in that area. The Vryheid Herald expresses its condolences to the family of the deceased.
