Food for Life branches in South Africa are planning to distribute 27,000 meals on Saturday, and the Estcourt branch is part of this ‘food-a-thon’.
All branches will begin simultaneous cooking between 6am and 9am, with 205 pots of food being cooked nationally.
“The good news is that the Estcourt branch has committed to cook two pots; that’s 400 plates. This is truly an amazing milestone for our branch. Our branch will serve 400 plates for the first time, which will bring our total to 600 plates in one month,” said Food for Life Estcourt member Lokeshwar Das.
