Enough is enough is a mild term to address this situation. When you are visiting the central business district you are welcomed by so- called ‘paras’(drug users) in every street pestering and harassing you for money. If you don’t give they get aggressive.

Pensioners fear for their lives coming to town for their payout because of being harassed, pushed and kicked to the floor for their long awaited money. Cars are being broken into. House and shop break-ins are increasing. Being a victim of remote jamming is also very common.

Businesses are feeling the pinch, because their customers are bothered. Our town is plagued with criminal elements.

An urgent appeal is made to make our words heard via the Estcourt News, our only source of hope to be heard collectively. A small voice creates an impact.
Police presence on foot could be a start forward. I am sure the police know who the culprits are.
I sincerely hope this letter will not be read today and forgotten tomorrow.
