NEWCASTLE MALL – An armed robbery took place at the Newcastle Mall this morning.
According to a source, shortly after 9am one of the clothing retailers was targeted.

Newcastle SAPS responded promptly, but the suspects managed to escape.
Newcastle Community Policing Forum 911 are in pursuit of the perpetrators, and SAPS are on scene conducting preliminary investigations.
Officials advise people to be on the lookout for a green Nissan 1400 bakkie with a black bonnet.
The suspects are believed to be armed and dangerous.
