Spirit of love abounds at Drakensview Primary

There was an array of activities planned for Valentine's Day

Drakensview Primary enjoyed a very happy Valentine’s Day as a school fundraiser.

Besides coming to school dressed colourfully, the learners were treated to a Valentine’s Dance.

The Foundation Phase learners danced away enthusiastically to some loud and lovely music. After break, the Grade 4 to 7 learners had their turn. They danced and sang to the latest tunes played by the DJ, usually known as Mr Ramprith.

The boys take a break from dancing – Tanek Nandcoomar, Kimeshin Naidoo, Tatum Wilson, Alexander Burl and Chase Chisholm.

Celebrating this way was much more fun than working in the classroom on a Friday!

During the week, many classes got busy with Valentine’s Day Art. Grade 1 J, carefully guided by Mrs Paterson, made beautiful heart people.

They were delighted to pose with their completed creations.
