Motorist loses control and crashes through boundary wall of house in Ladysmith

A water pipe was also damaged in the crash, leaving the residents' yard flooded with water

Residents of Malcolm Road were woken up by the sound of a car crashing through a boundary wall during the early hours of Friday morning (February 16).

It is believed that the driver of a Toyota Fortuner lost control of her vehicle, crashing through the wall and almost into a house.

Public Safety and a towing service responded to the scene.

The people living at the house say they were lucky that the vehicle did not come crashing into their home.

A water pipe was also damaged, leaving the residents’ yard flooded with water.

The driver of the vehicle was lucky not to sustain any injuries.

The vehicle had to be towed away from the scene.
