Youth participate in Miss and Mr Wembezi 2019 pageant
See who was crowned Miss and Mr Wembezi 2019
The Wembezi Multipurpose Centre was packed with audience members who awaited the Miss and Mr Wembezi 2019 pageant, which kicked off on December 14.

The aim was to teach the youth about self-care and that beauty pageants focus on more than just outer beauty.
Thandoluhle Chamane put on the pageant. She previously resided in Wembezi, but has relocated to Durban, where she was introduced to modelling and beauty pageants.
This young lady scooped the 2019 Miss Teen Wembezi title.
Through winning a couple of these pageants, she has been involved in community work. In her own way, this lass decided to give back and host a Miss and Mr Wembezi pageant.
With help from her mother, Sindisiwe Chamane, the event was a great success and they hope to host this pageant annually. The winners and runners-up in the various categories (such as Miss Wembezi Senior Category, Teens and Little Miss Category) were crowned and walked away with lovely prizes.
The Chamane family wish to extend their thanks to the community for all the support shown, as well as the participants and their parents for contributing to the success of the event.
