Congratulations to the many local athletes who joined the other 800 entrants into the event.
Congratulations also to Jeanine Theron for taking first place in the female 21,1 kilometre event, in an excellent time of one hour, 33 minutes, and to Bongi for running her first 21,1km race.
Club members are reminded of the ‘bring and braai’ tonight at the time trials.
They should arrive early and have their names written down in order at 5.15pm, in order to have the run start on time at 5.30pm.
Entry forms will also be available at the club tonight.
“Please come and pay your subscriptions and join us on our morning runs during the week and every Saturday.”

Jeanine Theron takes first place in the 21,1km event, in a time of 1:33:00.

Bongi has completed her first 21,1km half-marathon, and is pictured with Lorraine van der Nest.
