As the festive season approaches, let us use this time to reflect and count our blessings.  We must also extend our support to those less fortunate than ourselves.

The year 2019 was a very challenging year for Inkosi Langalibalele Local Municipality, but we took it day-by-day and as a result, we have managed to resolve many issues amicably through hard work and dedication. We also acknowledge the harsh criticism received from the community, which made us even stronger as a whole.

As the mayor of the town, I can assure you that 2020 will be a productive year whereby all political parties, together with stakeholders, will be working together to ensure that the main focus of the municipality is service delivery, even though we have limited resources.

There are many projects planned for the year ahead, which the community is aware of.  Let us move forward with the spirit of unity and co-operation to ensure that our town is a better place to live in harmony in.

We encourage responsible behaviour on the roads; therefore don’t drink and drive.  Let us continue to contribute to the reduction of road accidents that occur each year by obeying the rules of the road.

Lastly, I would like to express my sincere gratitude to all councillors, management, employees and the community for their contribution, continued efforts and hard work in ensuring that our town is well-kept and safe.  Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year.
