Madam – How long will the killing in our country last?
How many people must die first before the ongoing violence could stop? In every newspaper there is a photo of a dead person, and in each and every page there is a story of ongoing violence.
The most gruesome killing which shocked me was the one I read in the Newcastle Advertiser October 7 (partner stabbed to death in Barry Hertzog Park) about a 37-year-old man (teacher from Vryheid) was arrested for the murder of his partner.
His partner was a registered nurse at Madadeni Hospital. How long will it take us to stop the ruthless killings? How long before people become aware of the fact that a person’s life is more worthy than material things?
Is it because other people are so perfect in such a way that they do not make mistakes, or is it because we have made money our first priority, even if it means to end a life of another person?
Let justice prevail in our town.
Let peace prevail in our town.
