Free diabetes testing this Saturday

The Lions Club of Estcourt will be hosting a free diabetes testing drive

The Lions Club of Estcourt is sponsoring FREE diabetes testing on Saturday, November 16.

Diabetes is a condition whereby the body is unable to maintain blood sugar levels within the normal range.
There are two types of diabetes, namely:

Type 1 diabetes – occurs when the pancreas stops producing insulin. It usually starts in young people under the age of 30, including very young children and infants, and the onset is sudden and dramatic. People who have type 1 diabetes must inject insulin to survive. Insulin dosages are carefully balanced with food intake and exercise programmes.

• Fatigue.
• Irritability.

Should you be experiencing any of the above symptoms, be at Estcourt Pharmacy, Hillside Shopping Centre, between 9am and 11am this coming Saturday for the free diabetes testing.
