VAC Runners keep their cool at Durban’s CITYSURFRUN

This past weekend, club members participated in the FNB Durban 10K  CITYSURFRUN, joining around 7 500 athletes.

In a race rated the fastest 10 kilometer event in the country and featuring international elite runners chasing records, VAC did exceptionally well in cool weather conditions, buoyed by entertainment along the route.

Local athletes’ times are as follows:

Richard Scheepers – 45:22, Marlene Bean -46:57, Melissa Scheepers – 48:14, Amanda Vergottini – 51:21, Ronell Bean – 53:40, Tholiwe Hlophe – 01:06:00, Nokwazi Ndlela – 01:08:00,Senzeni – 01:00:57 and Xolani Ntshangase – 1:38:00.

Mbongolo Mahhashi also ran Wasbank Half Marathon in 1:20:00.
