Drakensview Primary taught that slouch equals ouch

The learners were shown how to sit and stand correctly, and how their spine is made up of sections of vertebrae. The subject of carrying heavy school bags was also discussed.

A school bag should not weigh more than 15 percent of the carrier’s weight and should be carried on the back and not on one shoulder.

Caring for one’s back cannot happen too soon. According to the school, parents and educators need to be aware and guide our youngsters sensibly.
