Vryheid rugby lads to represent SA in Ireland

Both Muller and Koekemoer will travel to Ireland from October 1 to October 10 to represent South Africa in the touring team of young hopefuls.

THE game of rugby is more than just a sport to some… it’s a way of life and, for two young men from Pionier, their passion for the game has led them to Ireland.

Ruan Muller and DJ Koekemoer, both pupils of Hoërskool Pionier, a local high school well-known for it’s great sporting achievements, were recently selected for the South African ITEC Country Districts Invitational Rugby team during the Reitz Northern Natal VKB Rugby Week in the June – July school holidays.

Both Muller and Koekemoer will travel to Ireland from October 1 to October 10 to represent South Africa in the touring team of young hopefuls and would like to thank the community of Vryheid for the donations, sponsorships and support for all of the boerewors roll sales and purchasing of raffle tickets which, collectively and cumulatively have made the tour a possibility for the two rugby stars in the making.
