No injuries were reported after a train caught alight last night (July 27) behind the Animal Anti-Cruelty League premises.
The train was carrying coal. It is believed that the train was on its way to Durban when the driver noticed and smelled smoke in one of the carriages.
The Ladysmith Fire Department and other emergency officials were on scene.
The fire was limited to the one carriage.
