Members from Forderville and Colita were invited to a gathering on May 6, which was also attended by Jaaved Khan, who is an Estcourt volunteer for the Gift of the Givers.

He didn’t go empty-handed and the 100 people who were present at the Widows Association meeting went home with gifts.

“We received a lot of thanks and blessings from the association members,” said Mr Khan.

As part of its Winter Warmth 2019 campaign, the Gift of the Givers has been donating blankets. 200 children from the Ithembalethu Outreach Project also received warm, good-quality blankets last Saturday.
