NEWCASTLE – South Africa’s favourite flamboyant pianist, Rocco de Villiers, will take to the stage at Blackrock Casino on June 3.

No stranger to the South African classical music scene, Rocco was the recipient of numerous accolades, including the Huisgenoot Tempo, Ghoema, Vonk, and the Cape Theatre awards.

Rocco’s velvet fingers, combined with a brightly coloured piano and matching suit, will have guests swaying in their seat to the beat.

“We pride ourselves on the fact that we provide our guests with the best entertainment in Newcastle, with Rocco de Villiers being one such act,” said Blackrock Casino’s Marketing Manager, Veneshrie Chetty. “Classical aficionados can look forward to a meet-and-greet session with the legendary pianist after his show.”

Tickets are available at the casino’s cash desk, with early-bird tickets for non-cardholders priced at R120 per person until May 31. Tickets will be on sale for R140 to both cardholders and non-cardholders thereafter.

Rewards cardholders will save up to 20 per cent until Tuesday, May 31. The doors will open at 6pm, with the magic scheduled to start at 6.30pm. The cash bar will be open throughout the duration of the evening.
