NAON celebrates Mother’s Day in style

New Age Of Newcastle (NAON) hosted a Mother’s Day celebration at the Status Hall in Lennoxton, on Saturday, May 7.

NAON Chairperson, Radhika Maharaj said the purpose of the day was to give recognition to all mothers, young and old.

“A mother is the greatest gift in our lives,” she said.

NAON members, as well as their friends and relatives, attended the event where they were entertained by the Aja Nachale dancers, who planned a special dance and performance just for the occasion.

Every woman who attended the event was thanked and received special Mother’s Day gifts. Guests enjoyed a decadent meal and scrumptious finger snacks.

“A mother is a multi-tasker, she is a teacher, a driver, a doctor, a nurse and so much more, all wrapped in one,” Mrs Maharaj concluded.
