Bikers Ride Against Farm Murders to roll through Vryheid

Anyone who would like to and can take part in the mass ride is welcome to join the group to ride with them as far as possible

IF you think that bikers are just a bunch of low-life hooligans that ride around wreaking havoc and making trouble, think again…

If you think that bikers and motorcycle clubs have no place in society, you are mistaken. Perhaps they party too hard, rev their engines a little too loud or have too many tattoos for your liking. But take a closer look, if you will, and you may find that the common misconceptions you have about bikers are quite easily shattered.

Yes, they party hard, but more often than not, there is a charity or a worthy cause that is reaping the benefits of their rallies, runs and gatherings.

The ‘911 Ride Cape & KZN’ which is taking place from April 2 to 11 is one such event, with motorcyclists on a mission to unite Bikers and Biker Clubs nationally to honour the thousands of farmers who have been brutally slain across the country in savage farm attacks.

In addition to that, the vision of the ‘Bikers Ride Against Farm Murders‘ project is to show support for thousands of South African farmers who still live in constant fear of becoming the next victims of the escalating scourge of farm attacks that plague our nation and threaten the future of all South Africans.

The aim of these bikers is to raise awareness and promote healthy relationships between SAPS and the communities they are employed to serve and the 911 Riders have planned a route through each province, where they will visit the local SAPS stations and meet community members to relay their message of hope and support for South African farmers.

At each Police Station where the 911 Riders stop, they will hand a letter to the Station Commander, who will acknowledge written receipt of the document and their signature will be added to the list of Station Commanders who have signed. This list will subsequently be sent to the Provincial Commissioner.

Who can take part?
