It signalled the return of the friendly staff from the South African National Blood Service (SANBS).
They were after learner’s blood.
School blood donors form a vital part of the SANBS’s network of safe blood, which is used for medical emergencies and treatments.
EHS learners did not disappoint and the target of 33 pints was achieved and exceeded.
Altogether 39 learners attended, 34 pints of blood were collected, nine pints of these were thanks to first time donors.
The SANBS staff and Blood Donor Clinic Co-ordinator Mr SM Dawoonarain extend a thank you to the school and learners for their hearty contribution.
