Gear up for the final voter registration weekend

Final voter registration weekend will be held on January 26 and 27 from 8am to 5pm

As we near the 2019 national and provincial elections, voters are urged to make use of the last voter registration weekend.

The final voter registration weekend will be held on January 26 and 27 from 8am to 5pm on both days.

The Independent Electoral Commission (IEC) officials will be at each voting station ready to check if you are registered to vote this year or register you to vote.

All you need is a green, bar-coded South African ID book, smart ID card, or valid Temporary Identity Certificate (TIC). Passports, driver’s licence, a certified copy of ID or any other form of ID cannot be accepted.

It is very important to register in the area in which you reside. You can avoid queues by checking and updating your registration status online at www.elections.org.za
