The snow has arrived

The cold front is expected to bring more snow to parts of KZN.

Snow has already fallen in parts of the country as the cold front continues to sweep across the nation.

Helpmekaar has already experienced the snow with residents sending through pictures of the white wonderland.

The weather has already caused problems though. A bakkie overturned on the R33 near Helpmekaar, injuring one person. Paramedics are currently working in the snow to attend to the situation.

The KZN MEC for Co-operative Governance and Traditional Affairs (Cogta), Nomusa Dube-Ncube, has placed the province’s disaster management teams on alert.

The bad weather caused by an approaching cold front is expected to hit more parts of KZN this weekend.
