Reeds take over Nagpur Road in Leonardsville, Ladysmith

Residents fear for their safety, as they say the long reeds attract criminal activity to the area

They fear for their safety, as they say the long reeds attract criminal activity to the area.

Residents claim that criminals use the overgrown grass and reeds to hide when scouting out households to break into.

They also state that numerous criminal activities such as house break-ins and robberies have in fact taken place because the overgrowth acts as a perfect hideout and getaway route for criminals.
