BREAKING NEWS: Construction workers injured in collision

A vehicle transporting construction workers, and a light motor vehicle collided on the corner of Drakensberg and Allen Streets at about 7pm last night.

According to ER24 spokesperson, Jan Henk van Vuuren, nine patients, who were travelling in the construction vehicle, were injured.

“All the injured [patients] were stabilised on scene and transported by ambulance to Madadeni Hospital,” he explained.

While the exact cause of the incident is unclear at this stage, local authorities were on scene to conduct preliminary investigations.
