MEC for Health visits sickly Dr Joseph Shabalala
Dr Joseph Shabalala is currently sick and the whole purpose of the visit was to take steps forward when it comes to his overall well-being
MEC for Health Dr Sibongiseni Dhlomo visited Dr Joseph Shabalala at his home on Thursday (December 1).
The elderly music legend was happy to receive the MEC’s visit, as they shared memories from the past.
Shabalala is currently experiencing problems with his health and the whole purpose of the visit was to plot out steps to improve his overall well-being.
The MEC stated that they want to find ways to help the founder and long time member of Ladysmith Black Mambazo, as he has played such a major role in this country.
The MEC added that they will be taking Shabalala to Inkosi Albert Luthuli Hospital, where specialists will work on him and render a second opinion on his condition. “The specialists will run a diagnosis on him to determine how he can be treated and helped during this difficult time,” said the MEC.
Family and friends gathered at the Shabalala home, and cheered on the MEC when they heard he would be taking Dr Joseph Shabalala for check-ups that are hoped will be beneficial.
