Vryheid superstars on the brink of world fame

CLARISSA Scheepers and Megan de Beer performed at the ARTS (Applause Rising Talent Showcase) on Saturday, following a successful audition in Richards Bay earlier this year.
Clarissa hit the runway with her modeling item, and Megan took to the stage with her dance item.
This event was filled with glitz and glamour and off course international judges and performers. Artists’ makeup were done by professionals from New York’s Make-up Designory.

Clarissa and Megan had the opportunity to meet the famous, Blaze Johnson, from ‘The Voice’, and Nate Butler, a well-known overseas singer. After their performances, Clarissa’s mum and Megan’s mum received call backs from international talent scout, Kim Meyers, and director of Just You modelling agency, Elsubie Verlinden.

We were so shocked, but also unbelievably happy and blessed when our phones rang and Kim told us that ARTS wanted to have a meeting with us on Sunday.

When we arrived at this meeting, they told us that Clarissa and Megan have been invited to Florida, USA, in 2017 to form part of the Just You and ARTS SA Team, said Megan’s mum, Marina de Beer.

“In Florida Clarissa and Megan will be exposed to agents, talent scouts, record labels, casting directors and acting coaches. They will stay at the Walt Disney World Swan Hotel and attend various workshops in modeling, dancing, and acting, and, who knows, maybe they can even visit Walt Disney.”

ARTS will coach the girls for a year, exposing them to great opportunities in South Africa.

“This was the first competition that I attended, where I could see the passion and love the ARTS team has for performers in South Africa.”

“It is overwhelming to be a part of this amazing team, and we know that Clarissa and Megan will fly high with ARTS on their side,” concluded Mrs de Beer.
