Accident on Victoria Street

Police said ”this is the second accident that has occurred on the very same spot."

A driver and two passengers were injured after the vehicle that they were travelling in, veered of the road on Victoria Street opposite, Dundee Secondary at 8:30am this morning.

According to police, the driver sustained injuries. However, the extent of the injuries are yet to be verified and she is receiving treatment at Dundee Provincial Hospital. The other two passengers sustained minor injuries. It is believed the shock absorbsers on the car gave away causing the car to veer of the road.

Police said ”this is the second accident that has occurred on the very same spot”. The first accident occurred on Saturday August 16 where the vehicle also veered of the road.

”No injuries were sustained during this accident.In response to the surge of accidents on this road, witnesses and concerned community member stated that a” barricade should be put on the road to alleviate such occurrences”.

The circumstances leading to the first accident is still unclear at this point.
