Neighbourhood Watch – Looking out for the animals too

VRYHEID Neighbourhood Watch is an organisation that cares for the community.

A recent act of kindness has proven that their compassion extends even further than just the people of Vryheid, but also to the animals who rely on the care they receive from the dedicated staff at Vryheid SPCA.

From one organisation dependant on public-funding to another, a donation of R2 500 was made by Neighbourhood Watch to Vryheid SPCA to assist the struggling organisation in their ongoing quest to care for stray and abandoned animals and to put an end to animal cruelty.

Furthermore, Vryheid Neighbourhood Watch has elected to ‘rent’ Kennel 14 at the SPCA, pledging R250 per month to the maintenance and upkeep of the kennel for a year, which will include signage and advertising of the organisation and a pledge from the members of the watch to look after their kennel.

The Vryheid Neighbourhood Watch committee would like to challenge other businesses to follow their example by donating much needed funds to Vryheid SPCA, and grabbing hold of this unique advertising opportunity and a chance to make a difference in the life of a rescue animal.
