Mooi River’s Akanamali SuperStar gets noticed by Apple Music

Sun-EL, real name Sanele Sithole, was born in Mooi River and moved to Johannesburg to further his music career

Apple Music celebrates the release of Sun-EL Musician’s debut album by shining a light on him as the New Artist Spotlight for the month of May.

As his first solo album, “Africa to the World” features 13 songs offering a perfect combination of master arrangements and strong vocals, Apple Music subscribers will have no trouble accessing the smooth blend of traditional and contemporary sound of the musician.

Sun-EL, real name Sanele Sithole, was born in Mooi River and moved to Johannesburg to further his music career.  His distinct sound, featured in his first single “Akanamali”, has been said to transcend all boundaries and nationalities with its hypnotic groove.
