Praying for protection against calamities
Devotees gathered to ask that their aims in life, wishes and desires be granted
The Jai Shree Maha Durga held their annual Maha Durga Navarati Panchpooja recently in Balsam Avenue, Acaciavale.
Panchpooja is a public prayer in which devotees ask Bhandi Mata to protect families and this world from famine, diseases (like measles, chicken pox and dread diseases), calamities, drugs, etc.
Devotees pray for protection of homes, jobs and children.
Devotees gathered to ask that their aims in life, wishes and desires be granted.
Fruit, milk, garlands and other offerings were offered.
Devotees showed their true faith and devotion through fire-walking and body-piercing.
