COLOUR CRAZY: The 2016 wedding palette forecast
Wedding colour palette got you down? Here's our trending predictions for what's hot next year.
Fashion is a matter of trends and forecasts.
Model and television presenter, Heidi Klum summed it up with her popular quote, “One day you’re in, the next day, you’re out.”
So what can we expect on the 2016 wedding palette?
With the prediction of non-traditional colours dominating, here are our picks of what could be hot for the season to come:
Going green
Shades of natural green are expected to take centre stage in 2016, in particular during Spring and Summer. Think of ways to add a rustic edge to urban design.
Remaining neutral
Subtle tones could feature predominantly next year, especially earthy tones. Although not too ‘wedding’ on their own, these natural tones will likely pair with accent colours.
Delicate design
Another contender for a 2016 wedding theme is one of soft colour and classic elegance. Think of delicate pinks and golds, adding an almost ethereal element to the event.
50 shades
Owing to the (in)famous series by E.L. James, 50 shades of grey could be a unique trend to arrive in 2016. Mix heavier tones as bases, with lighter hues for touches of fun.
