Update: Memorial service and funeral of uThukela manager
The funeral will be held on October 15 at the Indoor Sports Complex, starting at 9am
A memorial service to celebrate the life of Mr Mpumelelo Mbatha will be held on Thursday (October 13) at the Steadville Area J Community Hall, starting at 1.30pm.
Mr Mbatha, who was the manager in the office of the mayor at uThukela District Municipality, was shot in his driveway in the Hospital Park area on Wednesday, October 5. Armed men shot him and drove away. He sustained three gunshot wounds to the chest and was taken to hospital by EMRS, but later died due to his injuries.
The funeral will be held on Saturday (October 15) at the Indoor Sports Complex, starting at 9am.
