Christian community to pray for rain

The terrible drought across the country is one of the worst in decades and is not only threatening food production, but also the water resources of our cities and towns.

The terrible drought across the country is one of the worst in decades and is not only threatening food production, but also the water resources of our cities and towns.

Without water, our very existence is threatened and the primary source of water is rain.

According to the spokesperson of the Newcastle Ministers Network, which represents the vast majority of Christian Churches in Newcastle, the Christian community shares this need of the community and country.

“We know rain is a grace of God and therefore we invite all Christians to join us in a prayer meeting on Thursday, October 22 at 6pm.”

The prayer will take place at Newcastle Christian Ministries at 75 Tugela Avenue, Ncandu Park.

“Only God can help. Let us ask Him in the name of Jesus Christ.”
