A water outage ahead for Newcastillians

Residents are urged to make the necessary arrangements, to ensure they have enough water on hand until the water supply to affected areas is fully restored.

Newcastillians living in Arbor Park South and Hilldrop can expect a water outage, come October 22.

According to correspondence from the Municipality, the Hilldrop Water Tower will be connected to the supply main from Tiger Kloof reservoir on the day.

Work commences at 8am and is hoped to be complete by 2pm.

Residents are urged to make the necessary arrangements, to ensure they have enough water on hand until the water supply to affected areas is fully restored.

The Municipality stated ensuring pipelines were up to par was aimed at addressing water supply problems.

In addition, the community is requested to contact the Municipal call centre on 086 014 4144, to report any water leaks, burst pipes or other water and sanitation complaints.
