Ticking off the grocery list

Although our grocery list is shrinking daily, we still need a few more items

Our Toys for Joy campaign is doing really well, with all the help from the community and businesses.

Over the past few weeks, we have been putting up grocery lists stating how many items we need in order to give those less fortunate the Christmas they truly deserve.

Although our grocery list is shrinking daily, we still need a few more items:

• Tinned tomatoes or chilli pilchards – 73
• 500g bags of pasta/spaghetti – 137
• Toppers cream biscuits – 220
• Corned chicken loaves (tinned) – 148
• Boxes of jelly – 35
• Large tins of jam – 69
• 5kg mealie meal – 59
• Packets of soup – 301
• Packets of 100 tea bags – 65
• 2.5kg bags of sugar – 65
• Toilet paper rolls – 355
• Green bars of Sunlight laundry soap – 46
• Any toys for boys and girls

Add the above to your grocery list and help us decrease ours.

You can drop off goods at the Ladysmith Gazette offices from 8am to 5pm on Mondays and Tuesdays, 8am to 4.30pm on Wednesdays and Thursdays, and 8am to 1pm on Fridays.

Every little bit helps…
