Update: Suspects in elderly woman’s murder waive bail

At every court appearance, the courtroom has been packed to capacity with mostly family and friends of the deceased

The two suspects charged for the murder of Zarina Moolla appeared in the Ladysmith Magistrate’s Court this morning (Tuesday) for a bail application.

Both accused made a brief appearance before the magistrate in B-Court, where they waived their right to bail.

The court case in the wake of elderly Mrs Moolla’s brutal murder has sparked much interest in the community and at every court appearance, the courtroom has been packed to capacity with mostly family and friends of the deceased.

Today’s appearance saw the case being remanded until August 5 for further investigation.

Zarina Moola was found dead by her domestic worker in her home in Gumtree Road, Smartiesville.
