Madadeni Police make massive drug bust

"We have been making good steps forward in the fight against drugs and drug abuse."

Madadeni Police nabbed two alleged drug dealers resulting in one of the biggest single arrests of the year yesterday.

The suspects were arrested with 433 tablets of Mandrax, and police officers were thrilled by this breakthrough.

Police sources explained: “We have been making good steps forward in the fight against drugs and drug abuse. This bust speaks for itself.”

The suspects were caught following a tip-off received from community members and a follow-up investigation.

Sources confirmed the suspects have since been charged with possession of illegal drugs, and possession with intent to distribute.

“Crime rates have definitely increased. But this is to be expected due to the current recession. However, we (Madadeni Police) promise our community to do our best to continue to fight crime and bring down the current crime rate.”
