Teen dives away with five medals

The 15-year-old swimmer recently participated in the South African Regional Championships in Durban and swam his way to five medals.

 

Sharur Ramautar has proved hard work always paid off.

The 15-year-old swimmer recently participated in the South African Regional Championships in Durban and swam his way to five medals.

Sharur won a bronze medal for the 50 metre butterfly, a silver medal in the 100 metre butterfly category and three gold medals in three separate relay events.

“I am proud of my achievement, especially after how much I trained, going to championships, competing against some of the top swimmers in the region and being judged by high standards,” he said.

Sharur has high hopes for future swimming events and aims to win further competitions.

“I am going to carry on training and see how far I can go. I would like to go to the South African Championships,” he concluded.
