Christmas babies born in Ladysmith
Little bundles of joy born on Christmas morning at Provincial and La Verna hospitals
This morning (Friday) at about 2.15am, the first of 8 Christmas babies was born. 5 were born at Ladysmith Provincial Hospital and 3 at La Verna Hospital.
The 5 born at the Provincial Hospital are as follows (corresponding to the photographs):
Vusani Mdakane and Vuyokazi Thambo, with their baby girl, Amukelwe Mdakane.
The next baby born was the daughter of Babongile Mkhize. Luzuko Mkhize was born at 3.40am.
Fezile Shabalala was born at 6.40am. Here we see her mom, Nqobile Shabalala, holding her with pride.
20 minutes later, Kananelo Tsolo was born at 7am.
Our first Christmas baby boy was born at 8.25am. His name is Lwandile Hudla.
The first Christmas baby born at La Verna Hospital was Snesipho Mabizela. Her mom did not wish to be photographed, but she said that the baby is a real gift and that is why her name is Snesipho.
The next baby was the second boy. He is his mommy and daddy’s second child, and they were over-the-moon. His name is Aadvan Dhahkooklal. Mom Nerisha and dad Adheer Dhanooklal couldn’t wait to meet him.
The last baby born was the daughter of Tina and Jasper Slabbert. They have been trying to fall pregnant for 10 years, and the miracle of life finally happened.
