Sam-Lyn hosts a great holiday club

The children did crafts such as beading and painting ornaments as well as doing an obstacle course and playing fun water games

Fun, games, excitement and spiritual input were the order of the day at Sam-Lyn Edu Centre in Weenen.  Children who attend the centre during the course of the year were invited to be part of a holiday club on Thursday and Friday morning of this past week.

The children did crafts such as beading and painting ornaments as well as doing an obstacle course and playing fun water games. They also sang worship songs and were exposed to Biblical teachings such as forgiveness and love.

It was tremendously encouraging to have young folk from Weenen and Estcourt lead the groups. Yolanda Sibisi, Sibonisiwe Zondi, Welila Makathini and Siyabonga Lomani ensured that the children had great fun and built relationships with them.

From the attendance and positive comments of the children, it is abundantly clear that there is a great need for this kind of input into their lives in this area and Sam-Lyn is committed to providing such opportunities for these children.  We all look forward with great anticipation to future developments.
