Prayer for rain on hilltop

People sat on camp chairs and also on the grass, and listened to different preachers speaking about how we need to turn to the Lord for help

The ‘Biduur (Afrikaans) Prayer Meeting’ was held on Tuesday evening at Platrand Lodge to pray for rain in this severe drought.

The prayer was organised by the community “in obedience to the Lord” so that much-needed rain can fall on the land. Significantly, people prayed out in nature, high on a hilltop.

An SMS was sent out to members of the community, with the faithful responding and going to pray in large numbers.

People sat on camp chairs and also on the grass, and listened to different preachers speaking about how we need to turn to the Lord for help.

Pastor Peter Palmer and Pastor Simon Radford spoke to the crowd, and the Ministers of Gospel took people in smaller groups and prayed on the hilltop. Spirits were lifted by the prayer and now hopefully rain will fall.
