5-car pile-up in Lyell Street
A few minutes after the initial accident, a secondary collision took place on the opposite side of the road
5 vehicles crashed this morning (Wednesday) in Lyell Street outside the uThukela offices.
It is alleged that a car was turning into the uThukela premises when 2 other vehicles crashed into the back of it.
A few minutes after this initial accident, a secondary collision took place on the opposite side of the road while a vehicle was turning into the Total service station.
Public Safety, EMS, Sharaj Ambulance Services and SAPS responded to the scene.
Traffic passed with caution, as the vehicles involved were still in the road.
