Bargains, books at old age home fête

Juana Maria Old Age Home’s annual fund-raising fête will be held at the home on Saturday, starting at 8am.
There will be the usual variety of stalls and fantastic raffles.
As far as music goes, you have Eddie Young and his band, as well as the Monument and Egerton choirs, and Hamilton’s Marimba players.
For the more worldly, there will be an assortment of books to tantalise any literary fetish you may have.
But it’s not just about goodies and treats, it is a chance to interact with the residents of the home. It is not about doing a good deed, but about supporting an institution that helps the aged in their twilight years with dignity. Come and enjoy the fun of the fête and support our town’s legacy.
