OUR sports day at Nardini began with beautifully sunny weather on August 29, but unfortunately by 11:00am, the weather had taken a turn for the worse and, sadly, we had to postpone the sports day.

On a much warmer Tuesday morning, September 2, we resumed our races. The children still enjoyed the day and all the refreshments.

We would like to thank all the Nardini staff for helping, especially Mrs Combrinck for organizing the athletics meeting. Our Victor Ludorum is Ndumiso Nyawo, who also won the MacCrimmon Cup for the best time (Boys u/13 – 1200m) and our Victrix Ludorum is S’phelele Ndlovu. The winning house is Francis.

The following children won trophies: Nevelling Cup for best time Girls u/13 – 1200 m was won by Tebogo Sedise; Vicky Johnston Trophy for Junior Girl Athlete of the year was won by Noxolo Ntshangase; Trophy for Junior Boy Athlete of the year, a tie between Yanetso Selepe and Peacemaker Nkosi; Celeste Kok Trophy Junior Relay: Michael; Golden Peak Spur Senior Senior Relay Shield: Bosco; Pillay Trophy for Boy Athlete of the Day was won by Khaya Ntshangase and Nardini PTA Trophy for Girl Athlete of the Day was won by Tebogo Sedise.

Please remember our play “Rock n’ Read” on Saturday, September 13. Shows will be at 11:00am and 1:30pm. All are welcome. Tickets are R30-00 and are available at the Nardini School office.
