32 learners attended the clinic while 31 pints of blood were collected

The South African National Blood Service (SANBS) hosted their first scholar blood clinic last week Tuesday, August 2 at Drakensberg Secondary School from 9.30am to 2pm.

Drakensberg Secondary School scholars took time out to save up to three lives with a pint of blood.

56 learners attended the blood clinic, 43 bled the precious gift of life, and the SANBS team welcomed nine new blood buddies.

On Thursday, August 4 the SANBS team made a stop at Estcourt Secondary School. 32 learners attended the clinic while 31 pints of blood were collected. Nine students were welcomed as new life-savers.

The SANBS team and Blood Clinic Co-ordinator, Mr SM Dawoonarain would like to thank the staff and learners for their time, and their pint of life-saving blood.
