Compassionate start to 2015

Impoverished residents from Siyahlala-la Informal Settlement found compassion alive and well in 2015.

This comes after they were donated clothing by Sisi Zangothando Support at Fairleigh Hall last Wednesday morning.

Sisi Zangothando Support is a new group comprising of students from various universities. Simphiwe Ngubane, a member of the group, explained the charity based foundation had been formed by students who wanted to contribute to society through positive acts.

Although university students on holiday started the group, Simphiwe said it would be an ongoing project.

“We are seeking to build the organisation up and it is a budding NGO. However, we are still seeking guidance and have a lot to learn,” he claimed. “The main goal is to identify with communities and their challenges, and from there find a way forward.”
